Miss Nevada, Nia Sanchez, was crowned Miss USA on Sunday night. During the pageant, Sanchez, who has a fourth-degree black belt in taekwondo, was asked a question about sexual assaults on college campuses. Sanchez suggested that women get training to learn how to defend themselves.

oui mais le monde ont prit sa comme sa .

en gros il pense que miss usa ne croit pas qu'on doit adresser le ''problème'' des viol mais plutôt entrainer les femme a se battre pour pas se faire violer.

c'Est une nuance qui en choque certaine mais que quand on y pense vraiment, miss usa a jamais dit qu'elle voulait pas qu'on règle le problème, mais elle pense que former en auto-défense serait bon.

“I believe that some colleges may potentially be afraid of having a bad reputation and that would be a reason it could be swept under the rug, because they don’t want that to come out into the public. But I think more awareness is very important so women can learn how to protect themselves. Myself, as a fourth-degree black belt, I learned from a young age that you need to be confident and be able to defend yourself. Now, I take some heat occasionally on this page for using the word "ignorant" when describing hard-core leftist liberals. But is there a better word than IGNORANT to describe these two comments?

As a self-defense instructor, I can assure you learning self-defense is not "icky." Gaining the knowledge and confidence to be able to protect yourself is a wonderful, empowering experience.

EVERYONE -- not just women -- should learn self-defense. And for liberals to say that a woman should not fight back or use a firearm to protect herself from a rapist is not only ignorant, it is appalling.

And I've heard this anti-gun argument from liberals also: "Women don't need guns, just teach men not to rape." Really?

Let me be clear: It is your responsibility to educate your children to be good people. Teach them to respect others, to have a good moral compass, and to live an honorable life.

But make no mistake -- there will always be evil in this world. And it is YOUR responsibility to make sure you are prepared to protect yourself and your family should that evil cross your path.

Learn self-defense. Legally carry a firearm. And don't vote for ignorant liberals.
